John Hambrick
has called Nevada home since retiring from a distinguished
career in Federal law enforcement that spanned almost
three decades.
John served on the Presidential
Protection Detail of the United States Secret Service
and spent six years as an agent for the Immigration
and Naturalization Service, eventually heading the
agency's criminal prosecutions for Washington D.C.
Field Office.
Following his tenure with the
INS John worked in the Federal Inspector's General
office, combating fraud in Federal agencies including
the Department of Defense, Commerce, Housing and Urban
Development, Environmental Protection and Veterans
Affairs.
John has led investigations
of contract fraud, mortgage fraud, workers compensation
violations and breaches of public integrity. In 2003
he was named Chief Investigator for the Nevada Board
of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was in charge of
investigating medical malpractice.
Throughout his adult life John
has been active in civic and community matters. He
has been involved with promoting youth athletics through
Little League baseball for more than 30 years and
is a past president of Summerlin Little League. John
was appointed to the Juvenile and Domestic Relations
Court Citizens Advisory Council and also served on
the Storm Water Management Board. He also served on
the Clark County Citizens Review Board and is Chairman
of the Nevada Juvenile Justice Commission.
John is a past Chairman of
the Clark County Republican Party and has worked on
the campaigns of such Republican leaders as Congressman
Jon Porter and former Nevada Attorney General Brian
Sandoval.
John and his wife Nancy celebrated
their 44th wedding anniversary in June. They have
a daughter, Laura Sullivan, and a son, John.
